Lawful basis for processing

Depending on the circumstances, personal information may be processed because it is necessary to take steps at an individual's request before entering into a contract or to fulfil a contract; for Gateway Programme's legitimate interests in operating and administering its services; to comply with a legal obligation; or, where appropriate, with consent.

Sharing information

Gateway Programme does not sell personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate the business, for example website, email, IT or accounting services, or where disclosure is required by law or there is a lawful safeguarding requirement.

Facilitator records

Gateway Programme may retain a basic record confirming that an individual completed Group or One-to-One Gateway Facilitator Training. This enables historical training and certification to be confirmed where necessary.

Postal addresses collected solely for sending training materials do not need to form part of the permanent facilitator record.

How long information is kept

Personal information will only be kept for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, or where it must be retained for legal, financial or regulatory reasons. Basic facilitator certification records may be retained for longer so that historical training and certification can be confirmed.

Keeping information secure

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No electronic communication or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, individuals may have rights to access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion in certain circumstances, restrict or object to certain uses, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
